Lishan is Taiwan's highest mountain tea producing areas, and its altitude up to 2600 meters. Generally called Lishan tea, at least at an altitude of 2000 meters above species, Green Mountains, Verde, Gang, old and new Gayang line, begin Lishan tea termed. Lishan area high altitude, the weather is characterized by a large temperature difference between day and night, spring and summer, day fog, tea is the best environment for breeding.
梨山是全臺灣海拔最高的高山茶產區,其海拔高度高達2600公尺。一般稱梨山茶者,至少種在海拔2000公尺以上,翠巒、翠峰、華崗、新舊佳陽一線,皆以梨山茶稱之。梨山地區海拔高,天氣的特徵是晝夜溫差大,春夏之交,整天雲霧籠罩,是孕育茶樹的最佳環境。

梨山茶芽葉柔軟,葉肉厚,果膠質含量高,香氣淡雅,茶水色蜜綠顯黃,滋味甘醇,滑軟耐沖泡,茶湯冷後更能凝聚香甜。一年才採收兩到三次所以葉面大而肥厚,其茶水長而柔軟,回甘後勁強。同時因常年雲霧籠罩,溫度寒冷又冬季下雪之故,生長期長,造就茶葉葉肉肥厚特色。其口味甘醇,冷礦味特別重,味道帶有水果香,得天獨厚的色,香,味甘特色。
